Today was the last day of school for the Piedmont seniors. I dropped by today to check out the last minute signings, and more likely, my last real sight of the seniors I knew. Now that they're gone, I don't really have any ties to the school. I'd probably just visit Mr. Dries, but I wouldn't recognize a single person in his AP class anymore. It's a sad thought.

Today reminded me of my last day there. Granted, I didn't see anyone crying, but the same feeling was floating around the air. I remember crying my last day. It was just... I don't know. Sad, happy, lost, all at once. High school was a good time for me.

I wish to send congratulations to those graduating. Take it easy this summer, and don't stress too much in your first year of college, it's not worth it. :)
You guys made it there, and that's all that counts!

I haven't blogged about fanime yet. :O

-Met Tyler, finally. FIVE YEARS AND YOU'RE ONLY LIKE TWO HOURS AWAY. You and your friends are awesome though, we'd love to see ya back.
-Late night talks are awesome.
-Freakin' NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM.
-Falcon THRUST.
-Went feet stomping on Richard in a dance. yay.
-I feel shorter every year.
-Got a $5 sheep that goes MOO from the artist alley. It's handmade and VERY adorable,(tennis ball size). Or well, I totally didn't remember what sound sheep make, so I gave it the sound moo. ^^; Don't think I'd pass kindergarten if I went back; it gets harder every year too.
-Giant riceball pillow was awesome, but it was like 60 bucks. >.<
-Hotel room in Marriott was great. Was on the sixth floor. Since hotel staff killed our reservations and a buncha other shit, we saved a ton of money.
-No giant burritos in the morning. Gosh, breakfasts suck.
-Con Jesus.
-Masquerade was a terrible waste of a couple hours of my life. I think I went straight a few times, but in the ultimate end, I remained bi. Yay for ditching early~
-Saw a buncha people. Jimmy, Victoria, Melissa. Yay ! :D

Will be headed back next year, despite recovering from Fanime during the week of midterms.
Miss having a cuddle-buddy in bed. (Richard)

Pokémon

Today I was just thinking about Pokémon. This fad started back when I was like... in third or fourth grade. I'm in my first year of college right now. That's roughly ten years. Ten long years.

Back when it came out, I watched the show religiously. Hell, I have recorded from the first season up to the start of the Johto season, before I stopped. It's in a bunch of videocassettes in a box in my room. =) I have all the games for the N64. I even have all the games up to Ruby and Sapphire for the Gameboy. (Missing Pinball though. Knew most of, if not all, the cheats on these things.) This is around where my obsession died. I was too busy, or just too irritated, but I never finished Sapphire of the Ruby/Sapphire set. I never even got a Gamecube of my own for the Darkness series. [Well, there's a Gamecube at home, but it's my little brother's and he's possessive.] Anyway, it's a bit depressing.
Oh yea, I had a ton of trading cards, along with all the movies until they stopped making them in videocassettes. xD I even wrote a fanfic about this! It was a girl from our world, who made a wish. The wish came true, and she ended up in the Pokéworld. Never managed to finish it though.
I could sing, almost perfectly, from memory, the Pokérap for the first 150 and the latter 100. I could also do all the openings, full-length, not the shortened on TV. I still kind of can, just need tune accompaniment. Hell, I could watch like, clips of an episode and tell you what happens in the whole thing. Never again, though.

It occurred to me today that it's finally time to say good-bye and lay down my Pokédex. It was time to formally leave all the types of Pokémon behind. I mean, I just sort of left everything behind, but it's nice to actually acknowledge it. These things don't have a place int he world I am finding myself deeper in everyday, but they will always be a fond memory of my heart.

To the first 150 and 1 Pokémon, I'll catch y'all later. =)

Harry Potter

I was wandering around Harry Potter Facebook groups out of boredom yesterday, when I realized that it was finally -over.- As I thought about it, I realized how those books were a huge part of my life. I mean, I started reading those things BEFORE they were cool, back in ELEMENTARY. [Yea, that's right, reading was cool BEFORE Harry Potter. >:O ]

Now I'm in my first year at college. The series ended the summer before I began college. It's been like, 10 years since the first book. They're supposed to be children's books. and I stuck by them, eagerly awaiting the next copy every year. My first and second books have been read so many times, the binding is DYING. (I reread the whole series from the beginning every time a new book comes out. Then I'd read the new book. Then I'd reread all of them while waiting for the next one. This would occupy me for at least a month at a time, maybe two if I was busy.)

Maybe it's cause I grew up that I started to dislike the writing. Maybe it's cause the movies came out. Maybe it's cause of the raging popularity because of those stupid movies. But sadly enough, I did veer away from the joy of the series. It doesn't diminish the fact that these books really were a huge part of my life.

Anyway, as I was going through Facebook, I realized how much I was going to miss it. The constant anticipation, speculation, and finally joy at seeing the newest installment. But there's other books to be waiting for, popular in my eyes, even if no one else has heard of them.
So I end with this:

Rest in Peace, Hogwarts.
Albus Dumbledore - Ever omniscent headmaster, I still believe you're watching over every kid that's heard of Hogwarts. and some adults too.
Severus Snape - You were evil, yet good, and I loved you for it. I cried at your death, as your last wish was to see the eyes of your love one last time.
Sirius Black - Misunderstood, but awesome.
Remus Lupin - Huggable werewolf; you would've made a wonderful father.
Nymphadora Tonks - It's a shame you'll never see your son, at least you were peaceful in death.

Well I had a weird dream a long while back. The one that was like a movie preview on TV? XD;; It was VERY creepy.
Anyway, the one I had today was just as odd. I guess odd dreams are easier to remember. D:

So, I'm in some kind of vampire vs. human war. I don't know why, we were just shooting each other. >_>. Then I befriend one of the vampires. She had long purple hair and squishy boobs. O.o Her name was Laos. (These are the details I remember the best.) The guns they had used some kind of round purple ball that vaporizes people on contact only if they bounce off something else first. Otherwise, they worked like a normal bullet.
Then it starts raining acid rain. I remember the skin burning off. It actually stops hurting after a while. >.> So I pass out. Then I wake up again, in pain. D: My vampire friend puts a gun to my head and shoots. I felt pain from the bullet entry, but not the bullet reaching my brain or anything. Then I woke up with that part of my head hurting. X_x

THAT WAS FREAKY.

So I woke up this morning with a VERY strange dream. x.x It went like a movie preview kind of thing with a lot of selected "catchy" scenes. It was very odd.
Anyway, the movie was about disappearing balls. o___o;; Or disappearing circular objects, like oranges.
Then it would show a kid with the missing item under their clothes, so it bulges out suggestively. ....
Then it goes to a kitchen scene with a dad and a girl. The oranges on the counter would fade away, and the dad was watching it fade. Then the girl asks, "Dad, what's going on?" and she was growing boobies. D: and like.. her legs were becoming bird-like and she was growing black feathers. Then the house gets invaded by bats and they eat the dad. Or something. The dad died. x_X Then its a scene where they show title and stuff, "A Maiden's First Flight" (WTF?) and then they show a black beetle next to a staircase, and a black beak grabs and eats it from under the stairs. Then it goes to the coming soon , etc, and I wake up and was like...was I watching TV?
LIKE WTF D: D:
